Do I need any experience to fly?
None. A certified pilot flies the wing, you sit in front and take four or five steps at launch.
In detail
For a tandem flight you need no experience, no equipment, no licence and no training. The pilot flies; you are a passenger in a seat in front of them. The briefing takes about a minute and consists of when to run, when to stop running, and where to put your hands.
There is one thing worth knowing: the launch is the part that feels like something is happening, and it is over in five seconds. What surprises people afterwards is not the take-off, it is how quiet it is once you are up.
If you want to learn to fly yourself, we cannot teach you — we are not a school and we say so rather than improvising a course. If you already fly, the pilot programmes are the other half of this site.
