What should I wear and bring?
Trousers, closed shoes with ankle support, one layer more than the town needs. Nothing handheld — no cameras, no selfie sticks.
In detail
Trousers rather than shorts, closed shoes that support your ankle for the landing, and a layer more than you think. It runs 8–12 °C colder at launch than in Karakol or Bishkek, and colder again in the air. Sunglasses that will not fall off, and sunscreen — you are above 2,000 m with thin air and a lot of reflected light.
Leave the camera. Anything handheld becomes a projectile if you drop it and anything on a strap is a snag hazard near the lines. Your pilot's camera covers the flight and you get the footage the same day, included.
Do not eat a large meal in the hour before a midday flight if you are prone to motion sickness. Do eat something — flying hungry at altitude is its own problem.

Tell us your dates
Send the dates you are in the country and we will come back with the slots that have the best chance of usable air. A person reads it and answers within one working day.
Or just get the season report
One email at the end of each season with the flyable days we actually logged, and one more if the SIV course opens. Nothing else, ever.
